The official jerseys of the Volta a Catalunya 101 will bear the Gobik seal

(Barcelona, 16-03-2021).- The Volta Ciclista a Catalunya is counting down to its 101st edition and has already prepared the official jerseys that will be worn by the leaders of the different classifications between 21 and 27 March 2022. Once again, the jerseys of the Volta will bear the quality seal of the Gobik brand, the company in charge of its attractive designs since the 2018 edition.
Each day, four cyclists will wear the distinctive jerseys as leaders of the respective official classifications: the general classification, the mountains, the regularity and the classification of the best young rider. Finally, on the final podium in Barcelona, the best Catalan jersey will be awarded to the best placed local cyclist in the final overall classification.
This special design for the best Catalan jersey, one of the most celebrated by the fans, will be on sale for another year. From Wednesday 16 March, the jersey of the best Catalan of the Volta 2022 is already available for purchase online from the official Gobik website. The historic beer brand Moritz will once again be the sponsor of the jersey, whose design is marked by the black colour and the details of the Catalan flag in its central part. It is a unisex design of the Gobik CX Pro 2.0 model: a very light, tight-fitting and highly breathable jersey. A technical product that seeks maximum aerodynamic performance.
On the other hand, the traditional colours of the race continue to be the protagonists in the designs of the official jerseys of the race, which were made public at the official presentation on 9 March. The white colour with green stripes is the historical distinctive of the leader's jersey of the Volta a Catalunya, which will be maintained in 2022, sponsored by Turisme de Catalunya.
For the rest of the official classifications, white with red stripes distinguishes the leader of the mountain classification, whose jersey will be sponsored for another year by Caser Seguros. White with blue stripes are the colours of the regularity classification jersey, sponsored by Loteries de Catalunya, while the best young rider's jersey, white with orange stripes, will be sponsored by Barter for the first time in 2022.
They will not be the only jerseys in the Volta Ciclista a Catalunya peloton made by Gobik, as the Spanish company is the official textile supplier of one of the leading teams in world cycling, the UAE Team Emirates of double Tour de France winner Tadej Pogačar, which will participate in the Volta with riders such as Marc Soler, João Almeida and Juan Ayuso.
The Volta Ciclista a Catalunya will celebrate its 101st edition between 21 and 27 March. The historic Catalan cycling race, the third oldest stage race in the world behind the Tour de France and the Giro d'Italia, celebrates its 2022 edition fully consolidated in the UCI World Tour calendar and with a luxury participation, in which riders like Richard Carapaz, Alejandro Valverde, Nairo Quintana, Tom Dumoulin and Richie Porte will be looking to take over from the last winner, Adam Yates, who will defend his throne in the seven demanding stages that make up the race route between Sant Feliu de Guíxols and Barcelona.
