March 5 th 2025 - 11:43 [GMT + 1]

The sports daily will once again be the official newspaper of the Catalan UCI World Tour event.

Barcelona-based Mundo Deportivo will continue to support the Volta Ciclista a Catalunya for another year.As has been the case in recent years, Mundo Deportivo becomes the media partner of the race, extending its agreement with the women's race of the Volta, which will celebrate its 2nd edition from 6 to 8 June.

Mundo Deportivo has always emphasized cycling information, one of the newspaper's news pillars, which is why it has renewed the agreement that maintains it as the official newspaper of the Volta Ciclista a Catalunya. The race, which forms part of the UCI World Tour International calendar, will bring the best teams and cyclists in the world to our country in three weeks' time.

With this pretext, Mundo Deportivo will report daily on the sporting evolution of the race, which will start the first stage in Sant Feliu de Guíxols on Monday 24 March, to finish on Sunday 30 March in Barcelona with the classic 6 laps of Montjuïc.

With this agreement, the Volta will ensure a greater presence in the print and digital editions of the renowned newspaper, while Mundo Deportivo will see an increased presence in its image during the seven stages of the next edition of the Volta, as well as on the official website of the event. As we said, Mundo Deportivo is also committed to the women's race of the Volta Ciclista Catalunya, which this year will celebrate its second edition as a UCI 2.1 race.

After a successful first edition with the victory of a legend of women's cycling, as is the Visma Lease a Bike rider, Marianne Vos, the second edition promises to maintain the level of quality offered in 2024 with a route that will be made official on March 14. The agreement was made official this morning at the newspaper's offices in Barcelona, between Santi Nolla, director of Mundo Deportivo and Rubèn Peris, general director of the Volta Ciclista a Catalunya.
