The Volta a Catalunya increases the international distribution of its 2nd women's edition

The 2nd women's edition of the Volta Ciclista a Catalunya will enjoy world-class media coverage. Thanks to the distribution of its images to 122 territories, the three stages that will take place from 6 to 8 June in Catalonia will reach the whole world, and will be seen live on 11 different channels and platforms. These figures represent an exponential growth in the dissemination of a women's Volta that is looking to take over from Marianne Vos on its list of winners.

The Volta a Catalunya, which starts this Friday 6 June in El Perelló and will finish on Sunday 8 June in Barcelona, will have worldwide television distribution in 122 territories, including generalist and sports channels. A big step forward in the consolidation of the women's race in the world's calendar of the historic Catalan organisation, thanks to the agreement for the distribution of the images of the event with the company Amaury Sport Organisation (ASO), organiser of the Tour de France and other major sporting and cycling events.

11 platforms around the world will broadcast live the two hours of images from each of the three stages of the race. Televisió de Catalunya (through its channels TV3 and Esport3) and RTVE (through its platform RTVE Play and channel Teledeporte) will offer live free-to-air coverage of the race, which can also be followed at European level on MAX/Discovery+, Eurosport's digital platform, and on different channels in Belgium (Proximus) and Turkey (TRT Sports). Live coverage of the Volta a Catalunya will also reach 48 territories in Latin America (via Disney+ on ESPN's digital platform), 24 territories in the Middle East and North Africa (SSC), in the United States (FloSports and MAX), Canada (FloSports) and Israel (Sport5).

The first stage between El Perelló and Reus can be followed on Friday 6 June from 16:30h (live on Esport3 and Teledeporte), while the second and third stages can be followed on TV3 and the RTVE Play platform, respectively, from 12:30h. The mountain day between Bagà and La Molina/Coll de Pal on Saturday 7 June and the final stage between Castelldefels and Barcelona on Sunday 8 June will make the Volta a Catalunya shine, which will take its women's race around the world with a participation headed by Dutch rider Demi Vollering (FDJ-Suez).
