The Volta Ciclista a Catalunya is preparing to celebrate its 105th edition, which will once again bring together the best cycling teams in the world. Consolidated within the UCI WorldTour calendar since its creation, the Catalan race will feature the world's top cyclists from 23 to 29 March 2026, spread across 23 teams, 17 of which are UCI WorldTeams, with stars such as Jonas Vingegaard, Remco Evenepoel, Joao Almeida, Tom Pidcock, Florian Lipowitz and Mikel Landa, pending further confirmations.

Seventeen out of the eighteen UCI WorldTeams will be at the start of the 2026 edition of the Volta a Catalunya. With only one absence, the following teams will take the start in Sant Feliu de Guíxols: Alpecin-Premier Tech, Bahrain Victorious, Decathlon CMA CGM Team, EF Education-EasyPost, Groupama-FDJ United, Ineos Grenadiers, Lidl-Trek, Lotto Intermarché, Movistar Team, NSN Cycling Team, Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe, Soudal Quick-Step, Team Jayco Alula, Team Visma | Lease a Bike, UAE Team Emirates XRG, Uno-X Mobility and XDS Astana Team, forming a top-level list that is a protagonist in all the major events in world cycling. Among its members, the Volta a Catalunya has already announced such prominent names as two-time Tour de France champion Jonas Vingegaard, two-time Olympic champion, former world champion and winner of the Vuelta a España, Belgian Remco Evenepoel, who was already a major player in the 2023 edition, along with other great climbers such as Portuguese Joao Almeida, who also knows what it is like to climb onto the podium of the Catalan race, German Florian Lipowitz, podium finisher in the last Tour de France, and Basque Mikel Landa, with more confirmations expected in the coming weeks.

To complete the line-up of twenty-three teams, Volta a Catalunya will also feature six UCI ProTeams, the world's second division, led by Tom Pidcock's Pinarello-Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team, whose participation is guaranteed by its sporting ranking. The Olympic and world MTB champion, who has also proven his star status on the road as the winner of several prestigious classics, a stage in the Tour de France and the final podium in the last Vuelta a España, has already confirmed the Volta in his calendar as a major attraction for a team that also has a prominent Catalan presence in its structure, including David De Cruz and Marcel Camprubí on its squad. Meanwhile, invitations have been extended to Spanish teams Burgos-Burpellet-BH, Caja Rural-Seguros RGA, Equipo Kern Pharma and Euskaltel-Euskadi, regulars in the race in recent years, with the addition of the young American team Modern Adventure Pro Cycling, which is making its debut in the category this year.

Once again, it will be a star-studded line-up for the Catalan race, which has established itself as one of the most prestigious events on the UCI WorldTour calendar. In recent editions, the winners have been Slovenians Primoz Roglic (2023 and 2025) and Tadej Pogacar (2024), consolidating a century-old tradition in which the great cyclists of their era have shone year after year. With a highly attractive route featuring three mountain finishes, the Volta a Catalunya has all the ingredients in place to once again deliver a world-class spectacle in its seven demanding stages between Sant Feliu de Guíxols and Barcelona from 23 to 29 March.
