March 20 th 2026 - 11:29 [GMT + 1]

The 105th edition of the Volta Ciclista a Catalunya will be broadcast worldwide with global television coverage reaching 190 countries across five continents live.

Everything is set for the next edition of the Volta Ciclista a Catalunya to get underway on Monday 23 March from Sant Feliu de Guíxols, the town hosting the start and finish of the first stage, and it will conclude on Sunday 29 March at the iconic Circuit de Montjuïc. The race will bring together the best teams and cyclists on the international scene, who will travel through the Catalan region on a route characterized by its variety and sporting demands.

Over the coming week, the world’s cycling elite will take over screens across five continents, with seven days of excitement and global television coverage. Up to 190 territories worldwide will be able to follow the Catalan UCI World Tour race thanks to coverage across 42 broadcasters and digital platforms, 18 of which will provide live coverage, as well as three news agencies.

As can be seen on the television broadcast map produced by the French company ASO (organizer of the Tour de France) and responsible for marketing the television rights to the Catalan race, the Volta generates significant global media coverage. The Volta Ciclista a Catalunya has established itself as one of the key events in professional cycling.

The prestige it has built up over the years has made the Catalan race a must-attend event for the world’s best cyclists on their international calendar. Up to three international agencies will be responsible for broadcasting the event to the world in 2026: Eurovision News in Europe, and SNTV and AFP TV globally.

In Spain, the race can be followed on Televisió de Catalunya (via the Esport 3/TV3 channel), RTVE (via the Teledeporte channel) and on Eurosport, which will broadcast across Europe. The media interest generated by the Volta will allow for comprehensive television coverage, thanks to the two hours of live broadcasting scheduled for each of the race’s seven stages. All stages will also be broadcast in full live via MAX (Eurosport’s digital platform).

As a new development at European level, the race can also be followed on Belgium’s RTBF Tipik channel and in the UK on TNT Sports. Furthermore, as in recent years, the Danish broadcaster TV2 Danmark will provide extensive coverage, sending a team to follow the race throughout the week, with a particular focus on the Danish cyclist Jonas Vingegaard.

The race will have a global reach thanks to daily broadcasts by leading broadcasters, such as beIN Sports Asia, which will cover the event across 10 different countries in Asia, SBS in Australia and JSports in Japan. Claro Sport in Latin America, Caracol TV in Colombia – which will also provide coverage with two accredited journalists travelling with the Volta peloton – NBC Sports in the US, and Abu Dhabi Media in the Middle East.

Jonas Vingegaard, two-time winner of the Tour de France and other major world tours, will head the list of entrants on his debut in the Catalan UCI World Tour event, alongside world time trial champion Remco Evenepoel, who is already familiar with the Catalan race, having finished second in 2023. They will be joined by renowned cyclists such as Olympic and world mountain bike champion Thomas Pidcock, Portugal’s João Almeida and Florian Lipowitz, who finished third in the last edition of the Tour de France.

With over 200 accredited journalists from around the world and international coverage that reflects the huge media interest it generates, the Volta Ciclista a Catalunya has established itself as one of the flagship events on the international calendar in March.
