Mont-roig del Camp, the hometown of former cyclist and current team director Xavier Florencio, will host the Volta a Catalunya for the first time. It will be a stage featuring the Costa Daurada territory, which in 2022 was decisive in determining the overall winner of the race. It was a hilly stage between Salou and Cambrils, which also included the climbs of La Mussara and Capafonts, won by the reigning Olympic champion Richard Carapaz, while Colombian Sergio Higuita took the lead.
