Altafulla is an unprecedent host city in the long Volta Ciclista a Catalunya history, being a protagonist for the first time in this 103th edition. After more than a hundred editions, the race continues to discover new towns of Catalunya.

Altafulla is in an unbeatable geographical location. Ten minutes from Tarragona and one hour from Barcelona, it enjoys a coastal facade that combines rocky and beach, and preserves a rurality marked by typical Mediterranean crops, the last stretch of the Gaià river and a wide network of paths and trails that allow hiking and mountain biking. The town offers visitors a rich and varied historical heritage. From one of the best-preserved Roman villas, that of the Munts, to an enclosed village that allows you to wander through streets that still retain the medieval charm. Highlights include the castle and the church of Sant Martí. Altafulla has a very powerful cultural program throughout the year, which highlights the Artisans Fair, the Witches' Night, the International Music Festival and the Altacústic, in addition to a festive heritage that shines during the major festivals. The Costa Daurada is a diverse and welcoming territory full of contrasts. In the small, charming villages, in the mountains of Prades and in the Serra de Montsant, you will enjoy active tourism and contact with nature. On the coast, the beaches stretch along 82 km where you can combine relaxation, leisure, and water sports. Elements declared World Heritage Sites such as the Monastery of Poblet or the archaeological site of Tarraco are part of a rich cultural offer. Discover the Human Towers Museum (Museu Casteller de Catalunya), authentic modernist jewels, a rich and renowned gastronomy and visit the wineries of up to six Denominations of Origin.

Cycling enthusiasts will find in the Costa Daurada more than 2,000 km of roads with low traffic density. The destination has specialized facilities and accommodations that attract professional and amateur cyclists from all over the world every year.
