The Volta Ciclista a Catalunya will have the last day of competition a juniors race in the Montjuïc Circuit, where the youngsters will have the opportunity to enjoy a race with all the infrastructure of a UCI World Tour race.

After the postponement of the "reVolta" due to incompatibility of the calendar, the Volta Ciclista a Catalunya has decided to promote a junior event on the last day of competition, on March 31st, while the professional cyclists leave Barcelona and make kilometers for the Barcelonès , the Alt Penedès and the Baix Llobregat until starting the eight laps in Montjuïc.

The race will be 45 minutes and a lap on the classic circuit of Montjuïc, a good prelude to what will be the last stage of the 99th Volta Ciclista in Catalunya, since the juniors race will be decided on the same circuit as the "Volta".

The juniors race is registered for the RFEC (Real Federación Española de Ciclismo) and for the FCC Catalan Cup (Federació Catalana de Ciclisme). In the same way, as in all the Catalan Cup events, women under 23 and elite women can participate in the event.

The Volta Ciclista a Catalunya wants to reaffirm its commitment to women's sports and confirms its desire that the "reVolta" return stronger in 2020, after a successful first edition that was celebrated in 2018, with victory of the American Laureen Stephens.
