Nerea Bassart Trio, Yung Rovelló and The Penguins, finalists of the #iCatVolta contest to choose the song of the Volta Ciclista a Catalunya 2022

From today and until 20 December, the iCat listeners can take part in the vote to decide the soundtrack of the 101 edition of the Volta Ciclista a Catalunya, in an initiative promoted by the Volta Ciclista a Catalunya and the Departament de Cultura, with the collaboration of the Acadèmia Catalana de la Música.

A jury formed by members of the Acadèmia de la Música, the Institut Català de les Empreses Culturals of the Departament de Cultura, the Volta Ciclista a Catalunya and iCat have selected, among the thirty proposals that have been submitted, "Horitzons", by Nerea Bassart Trio; "Boires i retrets", by The Penguins, and "Me'n recordo", by Yung Rovelló feat Mama Dousha.

These are the three unpublished songs that have been finalists in the #iCatVolta contest, which will decide the soundtrack of the 101 edition of the Volta, scheduled between 21 and 27 March 2022.

From today 27 November until 20 December, the iCat listeners can vote for their favourite on the radio station website; the winner will be published on 21 December on the iCat programme "Els experts", which is broadcast Monday to Friday from 06.00 to 11.00 am. A double invitation to the Canet Rock 2022 festival and the jersey signed by the winner of this year’s Volta, Adam Yates, will be drawn among the participants in the voting.

The #iCatVolta contest was started last year organised by iCat, the Volta Ciclista a Catalunya and the Institut Català de les Empreses Culturals, with the collaboration of the Acadèmia Catalana de la Música. The winning song, which identified this cyclist competition, was "Eclipsi", by Blaumut.
