The "Volta" is ready to go with a top roster

Just one week before the start of the 99th edition of the Volta Ciclista a Catalunya, the organization has everything ready to live an edition with a luxury roster. Cyclists like the world champion Alejandro Valverde (Movistar Team), the four times winner of the Tour de France Chistopher Froome (Team Sky), the Colombians Egan Bernal (Team Sky) and Miguel Ángel López (Astana), the French Thibaut Pinot (Groupama) - FDJ) and Romain Bardet (AG2R - La Mondiale) Enric Mas (Deceuninck Quick step) or the Catalan Marc Soler (Movistar Team) will be some of the big stars already confirmed in the race, among many others.

La Volta will start next Monday, March 25 with the traditional stage with start and finish in Calella, although this year is expected to be tougher with the ascents to Santa Fe del Montseny and Collformic. After a stage between Mataró and Sant Feliu de Guíxols, the high mountain will start with arrivals at Vallter 2000 and La Molina ski resorts. On Friday 29 March, the race will leave Puigcerdá in the direction of Sant Cugat, while on Saturday it will visit Tarragona regions in the stage between Valls and Vila-seca. The 99th edition of the Volta will be decided as every year in Barcelona, ​​with 8 laps on the Montjuïc circuit.

The expectation to live the race will be total, with a television media broadcast that in 2018 reached 190 countries through 30 international broadcasters.
