The Volta renews its logo

December 19 th 2019 - 10:00

The Volta Ciclista a Catalunya is already preparing to celebrate its 100th edition in 2020 and to commemorate this historic event renews its corporate image with the design of a new logo, which can already be seen in the events related to the organization of the race, as well as in their official communication channels.

Precisely the fact of reaching 100 editions is one of the elements that stand out in the new logo of the Volta, which maintains red as the predominant color. The red circle that surrounded the typography of the previous design is changed to a background formed by points that is lengthening as a representation of the bunch advancing along the road. This group stretches until reaching a '100' that reflects the historical baggage of the Volta.

In fact, only the Tour and the Giro have reached this number in terms of stage races. The Volta will reach one hundred editions at a high and consolidated moment among the great events of the UCI World Tour calendar, attracting year after year the best riders of the international cyclism to compete on Catalan roads.

In 2019 the race was attended by riders like Egan Bernal, winner of the last Tour; Richard Carapaz, winner of the Giro; Chris Froome, with four Tour titles; former world champion Alejandro Valverde or Colombian Miguel Ángel López, current champion of the race. Precisely the new logo wants to convey the dynamism of the race and has been projected with the aim of having a long career. The renewal of the logo is part of the actions that are prepared for the 2020 Volta, which will be held between March 23 and 29.
