ICat radio listeners will choose the song of the Volta Ciclista a Catalunya 2022

The radio station iCat is looking for the song of the Volta Ciclista a Catalunya 2022 and makes a call to Catalan bands and soloists to present unreleased songs between October 15 and November 12, in an initiative promoted with the Volta Ciclista a Catalunya, the Department of Culture and the collaboration of the  Acadèmia Catalana de la Música.

La Volta Ciclista a Catalunya and iCat are starting again the competition #iCatVolta to choose the song which will accompany the race in his edition 101, that will be held from 21 to 27 March 2022. Therefore, we call bands and soloists from the Catalan music scene, to present an unreleased song in Catalan from today 15 October until November 12.

A jury composed by members of the Volta, iCat, the Department of Culture through the Institut Català de les Empreses Culturals (ICEC) and the Acadèmia Catalana de la Música, will select the three finalists songs that will be published on November 17 and that can be voted from November 27 to December 20 between the iCat listeners. From these votes will come the winning song, which will not only identify the race, but also all the previous media communication. The winner will be published on December 21.

“iCatVolta” is organized by iCat, the Volta Ciclista a Catalunya and the Department of Culture through the ICEC, with the collaboration of the Acadèmia Catalana de la Música. In the first contest edition, year 2020, the song “Eclipsi” by Blaumut, was the winner for the centenary edition of the race, which was postponed until March of this year
