The Barcelona-based sports daily has reached an agreement with the Volta Ciclista a Catalunya as media partner. One of the main pillars of Mundo Deportivo has always been the cycling information, so it wanted to renew the agreement that has linked it with the Catalan race in recent years.

Likewise, Mundo Deportivo extends its agreement to the women's race. A firm gesture that confirms the newspaper's commitment to the third oldest stage race in the world, after the Tour de France and the Giro d'Italia. With this agreement, the Volta will ensure a greater presence in the print and digital editions of the renowned newspaper, while Mundo Deportivo will see its image presence increased during the seven stages of the next edition of the Volta, as well as on the official website of the event. Mundo Deportivo also bets on the women's race of the Volta Ciclista a Catalunya.

The race that will take place between 7 and 9 June becomes a UCI 2.1 race, extending its celebration from one to three days. The entry of Mundo Deportivo as official newspaper will surely represent a further boost for this race, which aspires to be one of the women's cycling events of reference worldwide. The agreement was made official this morning at the newspaper's facilities in Barcelona, between Santi Nolla, director of Mundo Deportivo and Rubèn Peris, general director of the Volta Ciclista a Catalunya.
